Carter talks 'X-Files' movie

He said he's already talked to a couple of very well-known actors

Just a day after news hit the entertainment world that Twentieth Century Fox is negotiating with Chris Carter to bring a sequel to the 1998 "The X-Files" movie to the big screen, the series creator says he's already set some things in motion.

While talking with E! Online, Carter said that he already began talks with David Duchovny (ex-Fox Mulder) and Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully) to star in the film.

"They've both expressed interest in doing the movie, so it's really just negotiations," Carter said. "I've spoken to them both personally."

And even if Duchovny and Anderson return, Carter said that he isn't precluding the possibility of adding some of the new actors on the show, including Robert Patrick (John Doggett) and Annabeth Gish (Monica Reyes) in future "The X-Files" films, if not the upcoming one.
