By MARX PYLEBut, ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson told SciFi Wire that "Lost" would get to make up for those three episodes that didn't air.
The producers are "still doing the story arcs and figuring that out," McPherson said. "But we will do the full 48 that we all set out when we said, 'Let's set an end of the show. How many episodes do you need to tell that story and where you're going?'"
The fifth season will have 17 episodes and the show overall has 34 episodes left before it ends in 2010 with what McPherson has previously called a "highly anticipated and shocking finale." The fifth season will hit the airwaves in January 2009.
For those going to San Diego Comic-Con International, expect a screening of a promotional video courtesy of the "Lost" producers. But don't worry if you aren't going. It will be online at ABC.com immediately afterwards.
