'Andromeda' vs. 'Enterprise?'

Kevin Sorbo says let the games begin ...

That's the way it is seen by Kevin Sorbo, who plays Capt. Dylan Hunt on "Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda" that recently began its second year in first-run syndication about the brand new UPN Star Trek show, "Enterprise."

"I think there will certainly be a rivalry," Sorbo told Jane Dearsley in the October issue of SFX. "At least we have a one year jump on them. I was looking at the character breakdowns for that show, and they were almost identical to 'Andromeda.' I was like, 'They're borrowing from us already!'

"But Paramount is throwing a hell of a lot more money at it than we have, what we're paying per episode ... so we'll see what happens. But '(Star Trek) Deep Space Nine' and '(Star Trek) Voyager' spent nearly double the amount per episode than we have, yet we're double the ratings they were, so I don't think it comes down to how much money you throw at something, it comes down to the combination of the writing, and the chemistry between the cast.

"I think this cast has a rally good chemistry and it's got much better in Season 2. I think Season 2 is far superior to Season 1, and Season 1 is very good."
