SciFi Channel is pulling all stops to make sure that the people who will help influence nominations for this year's Emmys notice its signature show, "Battlestar Galactica," and it's inviting members of all the various guilds and fans for a special screening of the "Battlestar Galactica" mid-season finale this Wednesday in Los Angeles.

The free event is being hosted by SciFi Channel and The Envelope Screening Series. While the event is primarily for media and those who have a vote with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, seats also are being reserved for some of "Battlestar Galactica's" biggest fans to see how the 10th episode of the show's final season will end.

Also expected to make an appearance at the event are two of the show's stars, which some feel could be finally making some Emmy waves this year, Edward James Olmos, who plays Adm. William Adama, and Mary McDonnell, who plays President Laura Roslin.

The screening will take place at the Cinerama Dome, located at 6360 W. Sunset Blvd. at Vine Street, June 11 beginning at 7 p.m. PT. Tickets are free, but are very limited.

The mid-season finale of "Battlestar Galactica" airs Friday at 10 p.m. ET on SciFi Channel.
