Black to consider directing?

Any chances of seeing Claudia Black (Aeryn Sun) direct a future episode of "Farscape?"

Maybe not in the near future.

"There's a few people that would be standing in line to direct an episode before I would by virtue of their previous experience," Black recently told Mark Juddery of Dreamwatch Magazine. "Anthony Simco (D'Argo) is an accomplished director. Ben (Browder), I'm sure, would love to direct an episode. I think we'd be at the end of Season 10 before they'd think about me."

But her newest co-star, Tammy McIntosh (Jool), thinks Black would be perfect.

"If a director is a little unsure, Claudia will automatically, without thinking, plan a scene, block it ... and we think, 'Exactly! That would work a treat,' " McIntosh said. "I've seen her do that so many times in the last few weeks, I just say, 'Claud, you've got to direct an episode!' She knows the show like the back of her hand. She could do it with her eyes closed."

While Black said that the chances of her ever directing an episode were slim, she still didn't rule out the possibility.

"I probably will write and direct something. God knows what, but there are definitely things that thinking actors become interested in," she said. "Wait a second ... season 10? That ain't gonna happen. Not for me. I wouldn't stay on something that long."
