Want to know how they are changing the opening credits? Listen to the new music here ...

After just one season, the seemingly psychedelic theme song that plagued the opening credits of "Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda" has been reworked with a new monologue. And in case you are still waiting to see the second season of the syndicated series from Tribune Entertainment, you now have a chance to hear the new theme music online.

The Deutsche Andromeda Web Site has posted an MP3 version of the new theme song and its English monologue.

The new theme is simply a reworked version of the original theme, this time using a more military sounding orchestral version reminiscent of the theme used in the NBC series "SeaQuest DSV." Kevin Sorbo (Capt. Dylan Hunt) no longer voices the monologue, but the voiceover used sounds more like something that could be heard in the old 1950s science fiction serials and sounds more like a bad commercial for Soloflex than anything else.

To download the theme, which is less than a meg in size, is available directly by clicking here.

Thanks to Shane Churchman for the tip!
