Were you one of those American fans of "Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda" that has had to suffer through a long summer of reruns in anticipation for the second season premiere?

If so ... maybe you should consider moving to the United Kingdom.

Cable and satellite broadcasters in the country will air "Its Hour Come Round At Last" on Sept. 24 for the first time. Then, on the following week, the networks will air the second season premiere, "Turning the Widening Gyre."

The airtimes would mean that British viewers will actually get to watch the premiere before some Americans and Canadians -- a rarity for a country that normally gets first run broadcasts between three to six months following their original airing in America.

SlipsteamWeb also is reporting strong numbers for "Andromeda" in Germany. The season premiere that aired there on Sept. 5 pulled in viewership of 19 percent of people 14 and 49, a key demographic in that country.

Finally, Quebec viewers are getting the opportunity to watch the show on Broadcaster Z ... dubbed in French. The French versions of "Andromeda" began Aug. 31.
