By MICHAEL HINMANThe Pie Maker Web site is reporting that Paul Reubens will not take on the role of Alfredo Aldarisio in the series, a role that instead will go to Raul Esparza. The actor is best known for his work on stage, but has appeared in "Spin City" as well as the movie "Find Me Guilty" in 2006.
There is a chance that Reubens could be on the show at some point, and according to TV Guide's Michael Ausiello, he'll actually be playing Oscar Vibenius, a former "smeller/olfactory expert" who smells something a "little different" on the resurrected Chuck.
Aldarisio is a character described as a "homeopathic antidepressant representative/salesman."
Not all is lost in trying to get some bigger names onto "Pushing Daisies." Reports are still strong that room is maybe made for Molly Shannon and Jayma Mays. Shannon is best known for her work on "Saturday Night Live" on NBC, while Mays played Charlie Andrews in three episodes of "Heroes" among other projects.
"Pushing Daisies" airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
