By MICHAEL HINMANThat's what The Doctor has said more than once on the popular BBC series "Doctor Who," but it looks like David Tennant's character may be wrong again as actor Noel Clarke started some speculation that he could be reprising his role of Mickey Smith in the fourth season of the show.
The possibility came up when SciFi Wire asked Clark -- who played the boyfriend of Billie Piper's Rose Tyler in the first and second seasons -- if he was going to write a second script for the "Doctor Who" spinoff series "Torchwood."
"I'm not doing the second [season] of 'Torchwood' because I'm doing things that I can't talk about," Clarke said.
If Mickey is somehow returning from the same parallel universe that stranded Rose and her family, does that mean the very popular blonde companion could be close behind? "Doctor Who" producers say the actress is too busy on other projects, but Piper herself has expressed how much she misses working on the show. Fans miss her as well, something Clarke said was "great."
So how can The Doctor be wrong again if Mickey does indeed show up for Season 4?
"It's a parallel universe, baby," Clarke said. "The only thing I could say is that it's sci-fi, right? And in sci-fi, there's no real rules, is there?"
"Doctor Who" returns for its fourth season on BBC One next year, but the third season is currently being aired Fridays on SciFi Channel. "Torchwood" -- which will premiere its second season early next year on BBC Two -- debuts on BBC America Sept. 9.
