Andromeda to bring in special guest

There could be yet another genre special guest on Andromeda, this time in the second season, according to writer Zack Stentz. The episode, titled "The Interview," will be written by former Xena: Warrior Princess executive producer Emily Skopov. Stentz wouldn't reveal the identity of the planned guest star, but said that it's "an amazing actor who has played a very well known recurring character from the highest rated genre show of the 1990s." John de Lancie, who played the recurring character of Q in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" during the late 1980s and early to mid 1990s, as well as guest appearances on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" and "Star Trek: Voyager" during the rest of the decade, played Uncle Sid in a first season episode of Andromeda. It is unclear if it is de Lancie Stentz is referring to in reprising the role.
